I’m an Ontario-based educator with over 15 years of experience teaching French to learners of all ages — from preschoolers as young as three to adult and retiree learners. I’ve taught across the private, non-profit, and public sectors, and throughout my career, one thing has remained constant: my deep love for language learning.
 
Languages shape the way we think. They open doors, build connections, and bring culture to life. I grew up speaking three languages and later learned another, and I’ve always felt incredibly honoured to help students unlock the many benefits that come with learning a new language.
 
As a teacher, I was never satisfied with French living only on paper. I wanted students to experience it. So I began transforming my classroom into real-world environments that brought curriculum expectations to life — a bustling market, a café, a museum exhibit, a courtroom, a TED-style conference, even a party from another era. If it could exist in the real world, I found a way to bring it into the classroom.
 
The creativity involved? I loved it.
The student engagement and energy during and after a classroom flip? Absolutely invigorating.
The time spent outside contract hours and the money coming out of my own pocket to make it all happen? Less inspiring.
 
That tension planted the seed for Flip Kits.
